Quetta City Was “Founded in 1878”
The city was wiped out in May 1935 Earthquake and was then rebuilt again for a population of 70,000 people. Under the BLG Act 2010, the government of Balochistan discontinued the City District Governments. The new unified entity was thus called Metropolitan Corporation Quetta whose functions are as follows
- Development of City Infrastructure
- Sewage Cleaning and Maintenance
- City Beautification and Cleanliness
- Waste Collection and Disposal
